The award-winning retreat and wellness destination, Fivelements, located in Bali, Indonesia, grew out of deep vision and guidance based on intuition. As I talk with co-founders, Lahra and Chicco Tatriele, I’m astounded at the unconventional and inspiring ways they allowed for Fivelements to come into being. They have maintained a solid focus on the deeper purpose of the business inspired by Balinese principle of Tri Hita Karana: “Living in harmony with God, among humans and with nature.” A deep respect of nature and the five elements comes through in the center’s incredible architecture created largely from recycled bamboo.
The Big Keys to Success
The foundations of Fivelements grew out of solid values and a deep vision. As I walked around the grounds, banners shared the inspirational message of, “Love in Action” and Lahra describes their mission as “Creating the space for Life Transformation and Love in Action” and a vision of “Learning to Love and Respect Life”. Fivelements offers raw vegan gourmet cuisine, and inspirational contemporary architecture using recycled bamboo and local Balinese style. Fivelements aims to preserve ancient Balinese healing practices and employs local healers and priests for massages and rituals.
