Befriend Change and Stop Looking for Guarantees

Ok, you must have felt it — the big changes in the air. How nothing seems to halt long enough for you to catch your breath and assess. And those inner pulls, the desires to act on dreams, old and new, may be heightened and drawing you in new directions. Maybe it’s time to jump — to make that leap of faith and follow your heart for once. But maybe you are looking for guarantees.

You want to know that things will work out (they do, but not always like your little mind thinks they will).

You want to hold onto the familiar and comfortable world that you’ve been living with. But Christopher Columbus and other adventurers can’t take along their favorite couches, though you might be able to carry along some extra pillows for moments of rest.

You want to know what’s coming even before it happens. Well then stay tuned to your intuition. It’s there to protect and warn you — but it will not tell you everything because then it would be like throwing a surprise party for someone who already knows about it — the thrill is gone.

How do you ease the pre-adventure, letting-go jitters? You stop holding on so tightly that your knuckles turn red, then white. You open your hands and allow the Universe to fill them with the New. New energy. New ideas. New ways of being and thinking. Totally new, and exciting, and unexpected things and relationships and experiences that you couldn’t even have dreamed of! Wow! Strap on your seat belt and enjoy the ride!
